  • Hello. I am Andreas, I am from Russia, now live in Germany. My RS number 3095

Hi all, I have not previously found here the car number 3095 which became mine on 20 August 2024. Mileage on the car 112000km. A few days before my birthday, I gave myself a present that I have been dreaming of for 17 years.
My name is Andreas, I am 37 years old, I was born and lived all the time in Moscow. I use google translator, so don't scold me much for my English)).
Since recently I live in the south of Germany in a small town Freiburg. Since far 2005 I was interested in buying a first generation RS. I will tell a little and briefly the story of my dream, which has been a great inspiration for me all these years.
In 2004 a new Ford Focus 1.6 hatchback appeared in the family as the first car for my mum. And I was just starting to drive the car then, I learnt on it, in 2009 my parents gave it to me and I drove it for a few years enjoying it and modernising it a bit. Once on the road in Moscow I met ST170, and since my car was brought to ST, we drove together a little). And I was on fire to buy a real ST170, there was one car on sale, but alas I did not have time to buy it, it was already sold. And then I was so much upset that I decided to buy an RS. There was never RS mk1 in Russia, no one ever came and they were not delivered.
And I became enamoured with the idea. Years went by and by chance of fate I went to live in Germany and at one point I realised that I could afford it. It was scary. Can I do it, am I ready? Ready Andreas, go for it.... ;) My future car was parked in Koln, completely in original condition. And the day came when I went to see it. I had never seen the first RS in person before in my entire life. I'll never forget how I felt when I walked up to the car. It was amazing. I bought it that very day. And I brought home my dream.

We have a huge ford focus club in Russia, in which I am a member since 2006). I'm on the right on the photo). We used to meet often and drive around the city at night, go to cafes and different events. And here, by the way, is a photo of my first car.

            Andreas, welcome to the forum,

Looks a nice example you have there 👍 as for using translator: that works pretty good, afraid Russian would go so wll on here 🤔
German might work for some, as also a few German owners on here as in Germany quite a few RS's were sold

Great welcome thread Andreas and nice to hear of 3095.

She has never been known in my following for over 21 years, 3095 has just filled a gap on the Focus RS Build List.

Nice to hear about your background of where you lived and are now, and your passion for the Focus and leading up to you owning the Mk1 Focus RS. 3095 looks a lovely example.

Thank you for being a part of our club and FRS family.
