Outer CV Joint

Think I’m probably going to need to replace an outer CV Joint as I’m getting a ticking noise which is worse on right hand corners and under braking.

Does this seem the most likely cause of the noise? Doesn’t seem like these are RS specific or am I wrong?

seems to be a few options but which one is best?

Hi i don't know if this helps I've not long replaced both driveshafts on mine for the same problem. I fitted a pair of shaftec ones which seem pretty decent and i think they were around £70 each. That is for the whole driveshaft they come with 2 years/24000 mile warranty aswell.

Anybody ever changed a outside cuff of joint?. According to catalogues and the representative calls the number 2011529, but after ordering found that these cuffs are small! The diameters and lengths do not correspond to what is installed on the car. I understand that if the joint from Mondeo 3, then the dust cover can also be safely taken from it? Outwardly, the cuff looks exactly the same from Mondeo

Quite a lot of people have fitted Mondeo shafts, so assume they were very similar if not identical.
