  • I've bought a Powervalve 100 Cell Sports Cat

    Evening all,

I don't really do forums anymore, but just wanted to share, that I've bitten the bullet and purchased a 100 Cell Sports Cat from Powervalve/BCS.

Been mulling it over for a while, and as my car hasn't seen the road since Feb 2021, i figured I'd get one. Plus it'll just add to the lot of jobs to do, come the spring, to get it back on the road.

Nige seems sound and I've gone for his custom gearbox mount too.

I just need to get a GT28, 5 stud adaptor plate to weld to the round flange and then hopefully it should fit nicely.

I'll let you know of my opinion once I actually bolt it up.

I have a BCS sports cat and cat back system. The fabrication work on it is top notch and the fit is perfect. You won't be disappointed.

I'm hoping it's worth the outlay. How do you get on at test time? Any issues there?

I've never had an issue. Just make sure the car is warm.

Had a Miltek 100 cell on mine for years, always passes MOT.

It arrived this morning. The build quality looks amazing. welds are top and it's very light. Won't be offering it up, until the spring. But very pleased with the item thus far.

How did you get on with the Cat Wayne ? Bitten the bullet and bought one myself. Can't be done with swapping de-cat's any more. Getting old and sensible 😅

Yeah, I've still to fit my BCS/powervalve exhaust to fit to the RS from the group but a good few years ago now. Think it's going to be one of my first projects after I get the car serviced and going again.

I also got it so that I didn't have to crawl under a car swapping cats at MOT time,

I'm sure Nige said at the time they are sized so as not to restrict flow.

I purchased one of these too from Nigel last summer. Mine is fitted to the car, looks great, quality product for sure. It replaced my de cat pipe too.
